it isnt a case of someone or even me going to a branch to sort the wire, the bank refuses to unless to an account in the US in my name linked. or to a title company when buying a house in the US

yes I know I can do a few things and loose money, the fact that a huge US bank refuses to do a wire is frustrating
I have spoken to my bank in the UK and the best they can offer I will loose around...

I have spoken to so many people at the bank asked to speak to supervisors, managers etc.
all I get is the same this is our policy we cant do it.

I have done it from uk to USA using XE and transferwise and yes easy

spoken to transferwise and they will only accept a wire, which capital one wont do

Any help or advice with this would be great, I have run up with dead ends over and over.
I sold my house in the USA beginning of feb. title company put the money in my bank account and I got on...

no pre nup! i know stupid. i have an email from wife saying i would get my $320,000 back if we split and any profits shared. if i sell no there is no profit, and then the agents fees etc etc

the house is in joint names and haven't divorced yet. but my wife moved out 3 months ago, I am still living in the house, does that complicate things if she has moved out?

yes she would sell, but issue I see is if I sell I have to go back to the uk whatever then there is this 15% federal tax thing I would have to pay.
I have only had green card for just over 2 years...

I would say things will get worse. no there is not chance of us getting back together.
yes her name is on the house title with mine. also joint names on a line of credit.

easier said than done, like in Oregon and no work, apply for everything and still nothing, I cant afford to live here much longer. she is having the gas and electricity cut off from Wednesday next...

I have been in the USA now for nearly 4 years, married to an American woman and we are in the process of a divorce.
I really cant much point in staying in the USA, all my family are in the UK...
