Thanks for that. Seems that there's no way of avoiding a long seperation.

I'm presuming that my wife doesn't have to go with me for the interview at the embassy in London, as this may happen...

Thanks for the quick reply.
Having been scouring the various visa websites - what about the K visa route.
At least that way I would be in the Us with my wife. what are the downsides of doing it...
