We are looking at coming over in April, and are thinking of having a week each in two different areas of the Island to have a good round.

I suppose the information I'm really after at this stage is what is it like to live in the sense of how are foreigners excepted by the local people, we do speak a little Spanish...

Sorry I should have said 2-3 hour flight time. I understand total travel time will be more like 5 (family is close to Birmingham airport), but this is a lot better than 24 hour flight, nearly 30 hour...
