I imagined as much actually. That's OK. You haven't put me off but I am discouraged from trying to take care of it all from here. Especially as we're not totally set on the region we want to live in....

I came to feel like that about my job in Christchurch. After a while you need a change regardless. Good luck.

Thanks for that. Not encouraging but it's good to hear of your experiences. Think it now more likely that we'll head back to NZ for a couple of years and make our decisions about Oz at a later date....

I'm guessing the best place to look for answers to those questions is on the respective state's govt. education website. That will at least be factual and up-to-date. Forums can be good for anecdotal...
