Thanks a lot old.sparkles! It's a relief to know that I can still travel, just might try going back to see my cousin for what might be the last time.

I completed my 475 requirements in August and applied for the 887. Once the application was submitted online, got the email saying I was now on a bridging visa. I had two questions...

Re: 887 Application question

Yup, I'm basically an idiot. Once the payment went through, everything got activated. Got our Bridging Visa A emails and uploaded pdfs of all the required evidence docs.

Now begins the...

Re: 887 Application question

Follow up question:

Okay so I just lodged the application. Basically, I went to the immi website, set up an account, then filled out the application for 887 and submitted it. Here's the thing: It...

Re: 887 Application question

Oh and one further question: My wife is the primary and I'm the dependent. The documents checklist asks for: "evidence your relative has been financially dependent on you for at least the 12 months...

Re: Yet another 475 to 887 query!

Yeah that's what I thought as well. Didn't bookmark it but it was on one of the other forums. Pomsinoz or some such. A lady showed her date of entry as sometime in 2010 and she applied for 887 in...

Hey helpful folks! One more 475 to 887 question to add to the ever growing pile:

My wife and I moved to regional WA last year on our 475 (subclass b). We got lucky and started working full time...

Re: Visa 475 work limitations?

Have another query:

So I am now based in Northam but have gotten offers for freelance work (graphic design). However, the client is based in Perth. On my 475 Visa, if my abn, tfn and bank...

Re: Does anyone know I'm here?

Thanks for the form Pollyana! Wow, we assumed all this time that once you work for a full year you can at least work in Perth. The fact that you still can't sucks quite a bit. Sigh, any chance the...

Re: Does anyone know I'm here?

I had understood that we are obliged to live and work fulltime in regional WA for one year and in the second year we can work in Perth but still live in regional WA. Like living in Mandurah and...

Does anyone know I'm here?

So my wife, daughter and I entered Australia on our 475 visa a month ago. We landed in Perth and then moved to Northam where my wife (the primary applicant) got her job. Since then we have been...

Re: Moving to Northam

Read about the detention center controversy. Can't criticize it too much providing counselling to the detainees is what job we are applying for. Not sure if this will endear us to the locals to much!

Moving to Northam

So landed in Perth with our 475 visa in hand last week. Staying with family friends until we can find a job and a house. The initial plan was to move to Mandurah but it looks like my wife (the...

Re: Moving to Mandurah. Scared witless!

Thank so much for the freelance jobs advice. I was wondering, does anyone have any experience with employment agencies? Are they worth exploring and if so, any recommendations?

Also, can you pack...

Visa 475 work limitations?

So the rules for Visa Subclass 475 (which we've gotten and are moving to WA through soon) are quite clear on the whole living thing. We have to live in a regional WA area (outside Perth) for two...

Re: Changes to Visa 475 after July 1st?

I think it was on a bunch of message forums (clearly less reliable than this one though!). So you are probably right.

Sigh, back to looking for a job in Mandurah it is then.
