Thanks for the replies. Not specifically looking to earn money.. just keep sane. I've never not worked (except for 6 months after having my son) so will go crazy sitting at home all day!!

OK, I did wonder to be honest.
In that case he would have no option but to do a degree course then and hope that his visa is approved when its finally applied for in a few years time.

Same for either to the best of my knowledge, which as far as i can gather makes us very comfy off in tuson and not so in Torrance.... but its the living bit I'm interested in. I won't be working and...

We now have a job offer firmly on the table, however am I right in thinking that the visa request has to come from their end? As in we can't apply for it (or we shouldn't apply for it)...

He works in the aerospace industry, he currently deals with landing gear and the processes involved in life critical parts.
