i have insurance once i commence work for all of us, but am still searching for the right policy for the 1 week gap, I've been recommended Blue Cross but i just read on another post here it does not...

We decided to GO for it :-)
This was simply too good an opportunity to turn down

Flights booked, flying my wife 31 weeks pregnant brings so much more stress and organising to the trip, i.e. gap...

couple of hundred miles but i could not leave her, our previous birth had complications

we have no family near us to help my wife if i were to leave first, so unfortunately can't do this

thanks for sound advice i will talk to company and see if coming after birth is an option

yip, from what I've been advised a small-medium 3 bed detached house in a nice part of BC would set you back $600k +

with a lake frontage you are looking at even more

we don't need extravagant, just comfortable

i am covered by the company and will pay extra for my family
however I do have another potential issue!:-) my wife will be having an elective c-section, i wonder will this be covered?
in the UK...

$542.60 English debts per month
$2,500.00 Rent (3 bed house near work)

yes depends on the airline, some say not after 6 months and some say up to 30 days before

thanks, I've done a cost comparison and after the first year I will have earned almost double what I am currently earning in the UK, so even with cost of living considerably higher in Vancouver we...
