Re: Tax Residency Certificate

I've heard similar stories from others. Seems to in-part rely on having a benign tax regime like HK involved, and be platformed in said third country. Thanks for the response.

Re: Tax Residency Certificate

Thanks for all the replies. Seems like it has possibilities, without definitive certainty. As mentioned worth proceeding with caution from a legal perspective.

Whether it is a sensible and...

Re: Tax Residency Certificate

Thanks for the response. Visa could be either spouse or retirement. Income would be private pension at 55 (no tax paid when established as non-resident) and private rental income earned in UK and...

Re: D7 Passive Income Visa

Much obliged for the response.

Does the residence confer NHR status and thereafter 10% taxation on overseas income? Is 10% taxation absent any personal allowances, as per the UK?

Re: Rent vs buy (and let)

Thanks for the response. Just wondering, why would the license be problematic? Requirements seem to be quite a low bar compared to the UK.

Are licenses limited to artificially raise the market...

Re: Spain non-resident, renting out a property

I'm expecting UK property will go down, and possibly Spanish vacation locations too, given recessions incoming for Northern European economies.

Re: Spain non-resident, renting out a property

Thanks to all the posters for these replies.

I don't think we will bother with renting it out. No real benefit if the payback is so low. Will operate it as a lock-up and leave.
How would it work...

Re: Tax resident in Philippines, UK income.

Thanks for the responses guys.

From comments my takeaways are this
- No tax on overseas income for Philippine resident alien
- UK sourced state income (pension) would be taxed in the UK.
- UP...

Re: Non lucrative visa Spain

Thanks for the insight. I presume that the visa is renewable regularly and if the lump sum is still there then all is well.
I would be early-retired with a money purchase pension accrued - but not...

Re: Short time (relatively) in the Gulf - HMRC

Thanks and agreed that setup can be a bind. Ways to mitigate that though, considering single status. Work beyond the contract would hopefully be optional.
