Re: PR Card Expiration, Citizenship & Return to Canada

Thanks for the info.

So, it is highly likely that we could apply for Citizenship (ideally whilst in possession of a valid PR card) and that application would be granted irrespective of our...

Re: Visa Granted, Hooray

Congratulations on the visa grant. Like you our 176 visa was granted very quickly and has left us a little stunned. We were anticipating 12months not 2!

Anyway, one thing I can suggest is for you...

Re: 176 Visa Application Process

I am lucky enough to have a 'notary public' at work who certified all my docs for me, but I do recall the DIAC provides guidance on who is an acceptable certifier. Also consider that a certifier is...

Re: Anyone emigrated, then emigrated again?

Both my wife and myself know too well the issues with not feeling happy in a certain place. First time we moved to Canada we moved back to the UK after a personal setback after approx 6months. As...

Re: Canada to Australia Removals Companies

Thanks for the tip Dorothy (or should that be thanks for the Tippet!).

Anyway, as I try to chat through the humiliation of that pathetic attempt at humour I'll mention them to Allied (who I have...

Re: Best Aussie Bank

Many thanks for all the advice. Much appreciated.

I guess with a generous amount of equity any of the main banks will be give us a good deal, but I take onboard all the comments regarding customer...

Re: Best Aussie Bank

Thanks for the tip. Most banks are much of a muchness, therefore great to hear of one that is a cut above.

We have a bit of time before we move to arrange bank accounts and so on, so will get...

Re: Anyone emigrated, then emigrated again?

Good idea. Always good to check the place first before taking the plunge. We did exactly the same when we came here to Canada in 2004 and soon after - once in the winter and once in the summer. Only...

Re: Anyone emigrated, then emigrated again?

I totally agree with you - there's pro's and con's to everywhere. And like I said earlier, somewhere may seem great at face value but, when you're there you there!

We're moving despite the cost of...

Re: Anyone emigrated, then emigrated again?

No worries - you're right to do your research and get as much info as you can before you make a life changing decision.

Re: Entere before date in Visa -Is it Based on PCC or Medical Date ?

Re: Entere before date in Visa -Is it Based on PCC or Medical Date ?

Absolutely - myself, the wife and her wonderful mother!!!

We successfully demonstrated her dependency on us (financial, residential and so on) and, more significantly, emphasized the fact that it...

Re: Entere before date in Visa -Is it Based on PCC or Medical Date ?

I thought it was just coincidence. Sorry for the confusion!

The only date that seems to reconcile is that the mother-in-law's fingerprints for the purposes of the Canadian PCC were taken on 04th...
