life is all about perspective!

and there are certainly some obvious negatives to the US - vacation allowance being one of them.

but i also think of how much easier many things are in the US...

we have lived here for 8 years and moved house 8 times too!
the final straw came when our 3rd landlord in 2 years decided to sell!!!

sounds more like wannabe business speak to me, similar to the 80s and early 90s when people tried to adopt certain phrases (and other stereotypical aspects) to be like the "yuppies"

We should be pretty much set to move before sending off the i-130 anyway, but might just try and fit in a few months of "round the world" travel prior to landing in the US

thats really odd, as i think "excuse me" is quite a British phrase and perfectly acceptable as a dual purpose phrase - its tone that infers the meaning.
