US not on the list of 12 - sigh

Grant Schapps did his update in the last hour, and listed 12 countries on the green list (requiring no quarantine on arrival in UK). The US seems to be missing from that list, sigh. It doesn't seem...

Re: Non-Resident Landlord Scheme

Someone on here linked to form R43. This is entitled 'Claim to personal allowances and tax repayment by an individual not resident in the UK'. The title seems clear, but after a brief chat with HMRC...

Re: Sell or let - trying to get my head round it

Really? Do you have an HMRC link about this? According to what I read under 'Period of ownership' on page 3 of this document there is still 36 months relief. This is a December 2014 publication:...

At least I won't be able to say I wasn't forewarned what lies in wait for me when I arrive in the GTA :-)

I'll gather DVLA record and as much no-claims history as possible before I come over, and...

Re: Huge dilemma over my cat - what do you think?

Thanks for the thoughtful replies. I will try to rehome her and keep my fingers crossed.

She's was a Blue Cross cat originally. I've already spoken to them and they said they'd take her in if I...

Hello! First post on here after lurking for a while. I'm nearing completion of negotiation for a job in Ontario and starting to look at all the implications of moving.
