L2 visa holder with EAD can start own company in US?

L2 dependent visa holder of L1-A (Intra company transferee) with valid EAD can start an own company in the US?

My L1-A will expire on 31st July 2014 and my I94 is valid until September 2015, I have now two options either go for L1-A visa extension or apply for GC within EB1 category.

since India doesn't allow dual citizenship, I have only one(British) passport since 2006 and my L1 visa is within my British passport.

yes, that's correct, India doesn't allow dual citizenship and I do not possess Indian passport anymore.

and my L1 visa is stamped in My British passport.
