Hi,
Yes the cr1 stamp is next to the visa in the passport. It is handwritten with an expiry date.

thanks for the replys so this is the temporary I 551 stamp too. any ideas how long it takes...

I entered on a CR 1 visa and arrived at LAX. The officer stamped my passport with CR 1 and an expiry date.
Should there have been anything else stamped. I have read about the I 551 stamp and...
