Re: ESTA Validity After Visa Cancellation

Not sure yet. I asked for it to be cancelled but it's still in administrative processing.

It's a long story but was an unsuccessful relocation application (legal).

ESTA Validity After Visa Cancellation

Does a visa application automatically invalidate an ESTA?

We applied for an L2 visa for my stepson but was unsuccessful. Is the ESTA now invalid or can we still use it to take him on holiday.

Re: Moving a 12 and 13 year old to Florida

That's encouraging - I'm moving 4 too. What were their ages and where in the US did you move to?

Re: Moving a 12 and 13 year old to Florida

That's good to hear about yours in PA. I've also heard some horrors re the schools in Florida. Apart from my colleagues, I'm also going on ratings found in greatschools.org. Can these be relied upon?...

Re: Moving a 12 and 13 year old to Florida

Thanks, that's already been discussed and would be a show-stopper for me if it wasn't written in.

Re: Moving a 12 and 13 year old to Florida

Nothing specific as such - just had people looking at me like I have multiple heads and asking how I could do it to them. Some of my family are not very supportive and it makes me wonder whether they...

Re: Moving a 12 and 13 year old to Florida

The plan would be to stay indefinitely. I'll be transferring on an L-1A.

Moving a 12 and 13 year old to Florida

I've done some research (scanned the web) and found conflicting opinions on moving children older than 11 or so. This appears to be mainly age and education system related and can also impact a...

Re: Intra-Company Transfer

Interesting - thanks. I'll contact our global mobility team and ask them to put that question to our attorney.

Re: Intra-Company Transfer

I've seen people on this forum stating that they have had an RFE but had already provided requested info, so just wanted to get clarification and maybe some examples.

As I said, timelines will be...

Re: Intra-Company Transfer

I understand that but I was initially informed by Fragomen that for an L-1, even though a degree is not required, it helps. In the absence of one, much more supporting evidence is required in terms...

Re: Intra-Company Transfer

So the move's still on - HR have met with Fragomen and they will go for L-1A next July, once I've been in my current manager role for one year.

They say the process will start late spring. I'm...

Re: Intra-Company Transfer

Thanks Owen.

'Generally' sounds like there could be room for a few grey areas. Will see what the legal people say if it goes that far.

Re: Intra-Company Transfer

Another question - I've been thrown a curve ball. I've been offered a lucrative contract in the UK for 6 months, which would really help with our setup costs in the US if a visa were to come through....

Re: Intra-Company Transfer

Interesting. So it's not cut-and-dried then. Will see what comes out of my first meeting with Fragomen.

Re: Intra-Company Transfer

My circumstances have changed slightly. I will be promoted next month and will have at least four direct reports, so will more likely apply under L-1A.

The process will now begin with the filing...

Re: Intra-Company Transfer

Ah, ok. Thanks.

My manager wants me there sooner but if there's no other way - it is what it is.

I'll just have to make trips on the VWP and only do training, as he wants me to deliver...
