I have no credit rating in UK after living in OZ for 30yrs. How does one buy a car upon arriving back? Will finance companies give you loans if you have a job? Or should I pay cash?

I will be moving back to the UK after 30yrs in Australia and been advised to leave my total super in Oz and to draw a pension from that to minimise tax. Everyone is different however....
