Fernie is very, very small without much else around. But yes, I have been there, and it is beautiful! Also quite a good ski/snowboarding locale, better than Jasper really. Good choice.

I favour Jasper over Banff in terms of mountain towns. It's smaller, but has more of an "atmosphere" to it. Banff is super touristy, where Jasper is more true to itself. I don't know if that makes...

No, you don't require a return flight. In your letter, it will tell you all you require (the letter, proof of insurance and your passport). They may however, ask for proof of funds. They can ask...

Yes, we are common law, so glad to hear finances don't come into the equation.

No, as long as it has the bank stamp on it, that's all you need. No special seal required. :)
