Congrats and welcome to the U.S. ! I'll update my timeline soon, but you should all know that Mamus got her EAD card in the mail three days ago. Our I765 NOA1 was around Jan 8 2004.

When was this? I was there in Nov '03 and they told me they'd changed the procedure. Most folks had to get their EADs by applying to Chicago (i.e. NBC). Maybe your husband's co-worker did this before...

Go to Lagos. Although they claim to have mailed it out, they'll still give you the documents if you show up at the Consulate with the proper paperwork. This is much better than putting letting NIPOST...

A fax will probably do just fine. In my case, I scanned the letter into a PDF which I then sent to my wife as an email attachment. She printed it out and took to the consulate . . . no problem there....

That sholdn't be a problem . . . as long as he takes the old passport along to the interview (they'll typically ask for all passports that he's ever had). If he fails to do this, they may conclude...

He should simply tell the truth (i.e. that he's applied for a visa before and that it was refused). and be ready to explain to the Con-Off, if asked. If they don't ask, then he keeps his mouth shut...

$255 - for I485
$50 - fingerprint

I also went to the Bloomingotn office (wife is K3) and had EAD/AOS application to file in person. After standing in line outside (we were numbers 30 and 31), all they did was collect the paperwork...
