Thanks guys ... I think we'll have to haggle a bit more. We did with the car (on the phone to one dealer while in showroom of another :).

All this haggling and messing about just wears us down...

We went along the HIFX and Queensland route a few weeks ago, but TTed the money to HIFX.

I think Queensland Treasury say they must receive funds and original application form etc. within 10 days...

Without looking at the exact dates, I would say it took us about 4 weeks max from starting the transfer process to getting the letter back with the visa grant.

I can now answer my own question .....

As we have just been granted our visa :) , the letter from the appropriate authority to DIMIA must be evidence of the bond.

... now just got to risk...
