I live in Algarve and here I know a lot of people from England, Germany, etc... and they have they're kids in public schools with no problems. Even Portuguese kids speack English with they're friends...

In spoken Portuguese, we tend to use the PII (and not PPI as I said in my last post... I wrote correctly in words and then I was wrong writing the initials :o )...

When we ask for something we use the Pretérito Imperfeito do Indicativo ("queria" is PPI and not Conditional tense), so you were right... and it is polite to use that tense instead of using Presente...

If you already have all those grammar lessons, why did you stop? You were halfway to being able to speak quite understandable!!! You could have only conversation lessons, but believe me: knowing...

Amongst several messages asking for prices, I received some comments saying that there's no need for anyone to pay for lessons, since you can have it for free, organized by local Câmaras Municipais....
