Re: SCANED Police Clearances & copies says FRAUD | FRAUD | FRAUD

You should send the ORIGINAL PCC not scanned copy or certified copy. Original PCC is what DIAC ask for.

I guess you won't be able to certify the copies anyway, as it would have 'fraud' written...

Re: Validation and presence in OZ 1/7

I'm one of the other who think that DIAC would not bother PRs like you - i.e. people who validated their PR before 1-Jul-07 but not in Australia on that day.

You should apply for citizenship soon...

Re: mis-spelt name on visa grant

It's best to correct it before you get your visa label as you don't want mismatching names on passport and the label.

Congratulations and wish you all the best.

Re: Validation and presence in OZ 1/7

That's interesting.
Could someone with a 136 visa be able to get an RRV label as well before the expiry of first label?

Form 124 is for Application For Grant Of Australian Citizenship.
Why do you want to complete this form for 136 visa?

Re: Best form of payment

Quite a number of UK banks used to issue SWITCH debit cards (they may still be issuing this). I don't think DIAC would accept SWITCH debit cards as it's not with Visa or Mastercard network groups.

Re: citizenship question?

The fee is for processing your application and should not be considered as an outcome.

Re: Official declaration of commencement and eligibility

It's very likely that the new rules will become law by 1st Jul. As per
http://www.citizenship.gov.au/law-and-policy/overview/timing.htm
DIAC seems to have scheduled this for 1-Jul.

Re: First Entry as P.R. - What do they look at?

Your passport with visa.
You may also show the grant letter, which should detail the full work rights for a PR.

Re: Why is it taking sooo long?

You will feel it very slow when you keep looking for the postman everyday.

Pay little attention to your application.
I'm sure you would be receiving it anytime. All the best.

Re: Spouse Visa

Just curious about this one; what are those countries (or where can I find more on this) that allow easier access to holders of British passport? why not Australian passport holders?

Cheers
