Outdoor Football (Soccer) in Toronto

i'm looking to play football a few evenings a week and wondered if there was any parks with people playing I might be able to join?

I was told about one park where people are playing every evening...

i think as long as it covers emergencies you should be grand, not fussed about the fancy extras, the excess makes many of them not even worth it

i went on moneysupermarket and got a quote of £120...

i'm not 100% sure it covers work, many dont state it

lots of people are recommending Ace Insurance which specifies working, but thats £300+ and no chance i'll be paying that

You could always take out the insurance then cancel it when your past the border...

Cheapest i've found is Holiday Safe for £150. Interested to see if I can get it for £100 though.

I managed to get it working trying another computer. looks like it was approved 14 days after submitting, with email confirmation 21 days after. not sure whats going on with their system

Just got a message saying 'POE Introduction Letter' but it wont let me open it at the moment. Should I take this as good news?

I've only been waiting 3 weeks plus havent been asked for the Oz...

But yeah I would try doing it from Internet Explorer this time, maybe from a different computer too

whats that about 7 weeks, i'd presume it's approved if you've not been asked for more information or been rejected yet

if it was me i'd book a one way flight there and take my chances, especially...

did you upload docs through a mac computer by any chance?

i would just re-apply from a different computer (make sure its a windows one)

I'm in a similar situation to you, applied for 2nd stage (only last thurs) and at the same time applied for an Oz police check which arrived this morning. Only took 8 days in the end!

think its too late to do now but something i'll consider once im in canada. there seems to be a lot more available if you have an irish passport.
