I sent mine to the HM Consul address didn't bother with emails or letters to London i figured that it would take forever.

Mailed by USPS (from a UPS Store) on Sunday 3rd April

Signed for by the embassy on Wednesday 6th April.

I think that there should be a way of directly contacting the passport office at the embassy. However, i agree that the expense of setting it up would be high. I think a far better way would be to...

I am pretty sure the person who got the passport returned before it was charged was able to go to the embassy and collect it. I suspect any other method of asking for it back will probably fail due...

Ok after 6 weeks they have finally billed my credit card woohoo now for the wait for the actual passport. Might just be luck (if thats what you can call it) but it was billed pretty much the day...

From what i can tell the careline can't do anything until the payment has been processed. They received my app (signed for) on the 6th April. No payment taken yet for me. I haven't tried the careline...

Just to join in on the time line group fortunately I don't need my passport for until the end of June (it would be nice if it were sooner for purposes of comfort :p )
