Personally I would stop paying them. if it is crippling you in the US and things are really that bad I would cease paying for at least a month or two then try to negotiate lower/extended payments. ...

I have been using my GP every time I go back. Have i told him I moved away? No. And I wouldn't be the first expat to use the NHS either!!

Wow, you got screwed. I joined the US army to help me pay for college. I was actually a PR at the time and then later (after a year) took citizenship as the fee is waived if you have military...
