So I recently flew into the USA from London to attend a three day event I was invited to. I went on the VWP and I was playing football (soccer) for three days in front of a number of coaches from...

Re: Football / B2 Visa - Back again after two years!

Sorry I wasn't clear, you misunderstood what I meant.

Re: Football / B2 Visa - Back again after two years!

Yep, thanks. That does seem reasonable however I mentioned returning for a short break in the UK a few days close to the 90 day limit in case I don't get allowed back in and the disappointment will...

At the moment I'm looking at going slightly later i.e last week of April to give me until the end of July.

I will of course like to go sooner if it's possible. What are the main concerns when...

Re: Football / B2 Visa - Back again after two years!

That's part of the dilemma I'm facing. It's attend the pre-season training in mid/late April with the benefits of trying to earn a starting spot on the team before the first competitive game at the...

Re: Football / B2 Visa - Back again after two years!

Thanks. Just looking for some opinions to edge my decision either way. I mean it's not like I can go for the B2 and if it's denied then go on the VWP, it seems like I'm walking a tight rope and I...

Re: Football / B2 Visa - Back again after two years!

I know this threads gone off topic slightly but I'm having a real hard time trying to juggle the process of VWP or B2, simply because of the fact that I could get rejected for the B2 and won't be...

Re: Football / B2 Visa - Back again after two years!

Checked the expenses thing in the past. Things like training kit which is returned, drinks during training etc, transport to games aren't considered work or being compensated for work.

Re: Football / B2 Visa - Back again after two years!

So I am intending to go the US for the same reasons in 2011. Officially as an amateur athlete playing in the USL Premier Development League. To clarify, in 2011 I was rejected for a B2 however I made...

Re: Dad/Visa/Previous convictions

Since I found the above, course of action is going to be apply for ESTA today, wait to see if it gets approved. If it does then great. If it doesn't which is unlikely then he'll have to go for the...

Re: Dad/Visa/Previous convictions

So the visa could be denied anyway if its not deemed CIMT, and subsequent ESTA denial. I really do appreciate all the advice on here but why is there no clear information or advice from an official...

Re: Dad/Visa/Previous convictions

Searched the forum for visa cancelations/withdrawals but haven't found much apart from some advice from you and some conflicting advice from others. Can't trust the hotline so need to do some more...

Re: Dad/Visa/Previous convictions

Sorry to be a pain. We just spoke to a US based immigration lawyer who stated in a few minutes: 1981, not moral turpitude, no further convictions and in good standing. VWP/ESTA will be no problem...

Re: Dad/Visa/Previous convictions

Ok. To be honest I was unsure why he would pay the fee without booking the interview or without the acpo. Seems odd that a visa application withdrawal/ cancellation would result in an instant visa...

Re: Dad/Visa/Previous convictions

Yeah I told him that when I got home.

So he can't just call up and say he was informed incorrectly and cancel the appointment? He actually hasn't committed to booking a certain visa or given them...

Re: Dad/Visa/Previous convictions

The second offence was a non reportable offence i.e it's on the CRB but don't know whether it will be logged on the ACPO. It appears it was just a stop, on the spot fine sort of offence. I knew he...

Re: Dad/Visa/Previous convictions

The ACPO application has been sent today.

Having done some research, I'm no expert in law but it appears that there is a difference between a charge of theft of a car/stealing a car to taking...

Re: Dad/Visa/Previous convictions

My father is intrigued as to what will show on the ACPO as the offence is from 1981. My mother asked "if it didn't show up then you could just go and not tell them?" however it may show up at...

I've been granted a B2 Visa in the past because I needed...

Yep, he's got an email confirmation from the embassy saying he's paid the MRV fee. I believe he needs to wait for ACRO to arrive and then attend the embassy in application for B2 visa? If he get's...
