Some people on this forum are so sour about NZers being eligible for a subclass 444 visa and can live in Australia. It's because there's an agreement between the two countries - and Australia...

Ye.....you can just stay in NZ with a NZ visa.

I guess it might be a good middle option while ur in NZ and waiting for an Australian visa that is takng a while to process.

It's a bilateral agreement between NZ and Australia..... So if NZers are not happy with their end of the deal then why can't they complain?

And of course you think New Zelanders get a really good...

It doesn't happen very often... but a few examples would be the Victoria MFB and Victoria police. It's near the bottom of this article here:...

Nah... it's people who suddenly find out that NZers are technically on a temporary visa that things start changing.
Nobody went to ask employers to exclude NZers or tell the Queensland and WA...

If you look up Visa Wizard - and try to find a visa that would allow NZers to live and work permanently in Australia... they'll recommend a Special Category Visa. It says you won't be eligible for...

The half wages might be stupid. But their children not getting subsidised education actually happened - NZers in Victoria were not eligible for subsidised TAFE funding in 2007- around 2009.... until...

No. Not exactly. They can't set rules which deprives NZers of basic rights. E.g. Rights to equal opportunity and non-discrimination etc which is protected under various state and commonwealth...

It's exactly the issue - they are already in Australia, and allowed to live permanently. That right to move might be a privilege, but once they are in Australia, these NZers are not in a position...

NZers living in Australia can live permanently. The government can label these people "temporary residents" or whatever they want. It doesn't deny the fact that they have permission to remain...
