I see no problem in taking trip(s) whilst application in process but as mentioned get someone reliable to receive mail (@ Canadian address) as CIC doesnt always...

I'd like to share my experience with Air Canada this year. They lost/delayed my baggage!
I don't always fly with them (sometimes Air Transat) but this flight schedule suited me @ the time.

We had the same problem in 2009. My then 13year old son was into over one year treatment & the Canadian orthodontist in ON said we Will have to start from scratch!

I think its healthy to go on a holiday visit beforehand...not liking Canada after living there 3 years we visited last year for one month & enjoyed every bit of it (despite few economical changes)...

Hi I always use AT since 4yrs ago, as mentioned sometimes mix the new & old planes together, can be cramped if tall (over 5'7) but hey you get from A to B...food is reasonable wouldn't say great but...
