Ok have it your way, I wasn't looking for an argument, and yes I am indignant, that the uk refuses to unfreeze my pension simply because of where I choose to live.

We came here in 1983 ang got 1.6 to the pound, wasn't happy then as we had just about paid off our house in the UK but had to take out a substantial mortgage here.

from the centrelink website, you have to apply for your uk pension before you get your oz pension, then 40 cents will be deducted from the oz pension for every dollar you get from the uk
