Re: Teaching in the US

I should have said that a Visa will be no problem as my wife is a US citizen. I'm encouraged that the PGCE is in principle transferable, as I don't want to go down the US masters route for the...

Re: My wife holds a US Passport

Gotcha, thanks I just read another couple of posts and the wiki guide. Looks like the key thing to do will be the domicile issue. Does it help that her parents own property over there? Maybe it would...

Re: My wife holds a US Passport

My wife was not born...

Does this make her a US citizen? She doesn't know and neither do I!

Her mother is American, father British.

We both currently live in UK, what do we need to do to get the ball rolling in terms...

Re: Hoping to move to Colorado

Thanks everyone, as we are now keeping the discussion to teaching and Colorado,

I dont think I need to worry about the job market right now, as I would be doing my teaching qualification in the...

Re: Hoping to move to Colorado

1. Just to clarify, we are both in the UK. She has never lived in the US but has an American mum, but was registered as a citizen at birth. Can we apply for a green card while in the UK?

2. Why...

Hoping to move to Colorado

My wife is a US citizen. I am a lawyer in the UK. Its not hugely transferable and I don't love it so I am going to change career in the States.

I am not driven by careers and all I want to do in...
