Thanks all for the replies.

We'll try writing to DIAC and see what they say. It's not the end of the world if we have separate ceremonies - would just be nice to celebrate the event together. :)

Thanks Johnny - that makes sense now.

I was a little confused that the online calculator said I could apply today with those dates but it's likely I've mis-interpreted some of the terms it uses....
