This is an area we have been looking into as our oldest boy starts school in January.
To give you ab idea of cost it is around $12 before school and $13 after school per day, and about $30 per day...

When we came first time to look around the place and have a holiday we stayed in Wellington Point with family. It made for a good base and meant we were convenient for sunshine & gold coast as well...

Both of our sons, Jack 4 and Todd 6 months, go to kindy/day care. I thought everyone (subject to earnings limits) got a discounted rate for childcare.

Bayside Brisbane - perfect first thing, then a bit cloudy, sunny and windy this afternoon. Would guess around 23 (I am sure someone will know precisely!!).

We have the same thing set up on the phone so one number and it dials UK we just top the 'card' up over the phone. We use Go Talk which we originally got from the Post Office.

I have noticed that a lot of the immunisations that Todd is having are as individual injections - I compare this with Jack who was immunised in the UK with a single injection.

Don't know about how it affects your medicals, but do know it is something we have been requested to prove evidence of for Jack (4) starting prep next year.
I believe it is voluntary but not sure...
