Lawyers are fairly inexpensive in Colombia. Reading between the lines I would go the extra distance to make sure it is done correctly and get copies of the documents and retain them safely.

Ian I hear you...I consider them more of an ethnicity. But government wise sometimes they are counted one way and sometimes another way and sometimes they double counted. sheesh.

Okay my wifes card arrived in the mail today. Her catagory is neither IR1 nor CR1. She is IR6.

The following verbage is on the back of the welcome letter.

Permanent Resident Card
