just an update:
my husband received his NOA today so it seems like everything went fine and the $205 was accepted.

I was just concerned because people who had mailed the applications on 4th DEC had their checks cashed on the 7th Dec.

The bank told me that the teller has to physically add the...

So I called the bank to see if the bank check was cleared and guess what, they couldn't find the check!!! Apparently the teller had typed in the wrong check # and therefore even if VSC tried to cash...

I would have had my husband apply for citizenship at 3 years of marriage and 2 years of PR (I-751 pending)....good to know that you guys are here to help me from screwing up...hehe.

Noorah...I was under the impression that once you've been married to a USC for 3 years and your I-751 is pending....you can...

It's illegal to work without authorization so I'm not sure. you might have to quit until your 90 days are up and go get an interim.

we applied for my hubby's AOS and EAD in Feb'04. Got interivew in March...we got a letter in the mail but it's not updated online....

Every state has it's own rules. We're in CT and my husband showed them his SSN card which says 'only with work auth.', his EAD (interim b/c actual was not processed yet), his NOA's for EAD and AOS...

I've called them from the US and my fiance also called them from within India, especially in the morning and they were nice about checking the status for us. Good Luck!

Congrats! No dont worry about it expiring in March. It will be for 1 year...but I do suggest that if you haven't had your interview in 6 months, apply for a renewal 6 months in advance.
