We have received his Authorization for employment card, which also states that it can be used for Advanced parole....wooooohooooooo :thumbsup:

I had always assumed that our interview would also be in Chicago...but Detroit works out much better :)

Rather then the EAD/AP we have received an I-797C Notice of Action - "Request for applicant to appear for initial interview". Not sure if this is supposed to be the next step, but my greater concern...

Next step: You receive a combination EAD/AP document in the mail.

Does that mean that he would able to work when he gets this? If so, how long does that normally take to arrive please?

Biometrics appt in Detroit tomorrow... have not received anything at all other then the appt notice... hope that's a good sign :unsure:

At what point in the next steps can he safely "overstay" his 90 days?

You receive a Notice of Action from USCIS that they received the AOS package. Complete

Everything was sent on Thursday, and I have the signature of receipt from USCIS on Friday... is there a thread on "what happens now"? VWP expires soon, so not sure where to go and how worried to...

Ugh - when I did my UK Visa they requested it in binder form and it looks so pretty but I will take it apart...thank you for letting me know.

Proof of current income - I did not see a request for...

With a nice clear binder and individual page pockets to hold the required forms of evidence, I have the following ready to go:

I-130 (Filing fee is $420 in check #1)

And is the I-131 absolutely necessary? This is the most confusing form that I have seen so far and I don't know how to answer all of the questions. If hubby is approved for the AOS, he will be able...

In the I-485 instructions it says the following:

The filing fee for Form I-485 is $985

An additional biometrics fee of $85 is required when filing your form I-485... can these fees be paid...

So even if he has no plans of leaving while awaiting approval for AOS, it's a nice to have, and if there is no fee when filing it with the other documents, it makes sense to just do it. Thank you...
