Re: US Esta concern

I notice you've written this post on a few different websites. As has been stated elsewhere, it's not the official ESTA application website and they're charging premium for their 'service', such as...

Re: Frustration at Sponsering someone on a H1B Visa :(

Tell me about it; my wife is a teacher and it's crazy what she's had to put up with. She finally had two children removed from her class (and the school), but only after physical acts of violence...

Re: K-1 Secondary Processing at POE

Mine took roughly five minutes when I finally reached the front of the queue (which in itself probably took forty-five minutes) and showed my visa/handed my files over. Then again, I was never sent...

Re: The Whole 'Dual Citizen Passports' Question Again

Hah, sadly I couldn't use the e-passport process anyway; although the photos I originally submitted were fine, so much colour was drained out of the digital version (I basically look like the Joker...

Re: The Whole 'Dual Citizen Passports' Question Again

Yes, I figured as much. It's all good, then; I'll just use my US passport for everything except for when initially arriving at Heathrow.

Re: The Whole 'Dual Citizen Passports' Question Again

I suppose I wasn't sure if the US passport and showing the UK one at Heathrow there'd be a discrepancy with passenger information. And obviously vice-versa by showing the UK one at Heathrow to head...

The Whole 'Dual Citizen Passports' Question Again

There have been lots of threads in regards to dual UK/US citizenship and entering/leaving between the two countries throughout the years, I understand, but having searched here and elsewhere people...

Re: Citizenship interview

The letters are always notoriously skimpy on details, though, although I vaguely remember that part being mentioned (as with AnjLeicestershire). Ho hum! All this information is online on the USCIS...

Re: Married within 90days on VWP but forms not submitted

I agree on both counts; I really don't like to see people jumping the queue like this, as it insults the rest of us who do it the correct and proper way (not to mention, by association somehow...

Re: Possible to Request N-400 Form Photocopy?

There's actually an e-mail address (and phone number) for requesting USCIS Records here...

Re: Possible to Request N-400 Form Photocopy?

Oh, I see. My entire file seems like overkill, though (especially as I do have a copy of most of it), so perhaps it's not worth pursuing.

Possible to Request N-400 Form Photocopy?

I recently had my N-400 naturalisation interview and was recommended for approval, pending the final look-over by a supervisor (which I'm still waiting for, as it's only been a couple of days). ...

Re: Secondary Inspection

You can argue the merits of whether it's useful for the OP to decide s/he doesn't want to state their citizenships, or at least not in this thread, but it's pretty bad form to publicly speculate...

Re: Freaking out! Missed signature?!

I was about to write that myself before reading all the posts; the I-864 during the AOS, that's where it's really going to matter. Until then, relax and enjoy (?) the 'interview'.

Re: Advice around GreenCard cost

I'm absolutely appalling at paperwork (I'm also incredibly self-deprecating). You don't know me from Adam, but considering you don't appear to have any red flags just know that if I can do it, you...

Re: How long to receive visa?

Delivery has changed a little since I received mine back in the day. It was about a week, give or take. Look at that as around the average, and don't be disappointed one way or the other.

Re: Drug admission visa medical

I certainly don't advocate lying, and I respect anybody that tells the truth about such matters in the knowledge it could potentially cause extra hassle(s).

Having said that, and baring in mind...

Re: What's the timescale when first arriving to USA with i-130 visa

Mostly, but not always; when I arrived back in 2012 it was heaving and lines meant for citizens and legal permanent residents were opened to all, and I wasn't sent to secondary. I remember...

Re: Visiting the US on ESTA/visa waiver program before moving permanently on a K-1 Vi

Congrats! I probably wouldn't have risked it either, but it's nice it worked out for the best.

Re: advice on stopping B2 Visa application and doing ESTA?

I agree, if possible: extend it out, then in the meantime you are neither approved nor denied, you are 'pending' and don't have to worry about trying to wing things.

Re: UK Based lawyer advice

Oh, I agree, but I think it's a fine line and it also needs to be tempered with good advice, or it simply looks like judgement. This is a general statement, not specifically aimed at you.

Re: UK Based lawyer advice

Well, I deleted because I thought it was off topic and ultimately derailing, but you were clearly still here. I figured you'd 'stick to your guns', as it were, although I'm not sure what the point...

Re: Change in place of filing of I-751

I'm not surprised, really, especially considering how far behind Vermont currently is (and has been, for quite a whole). Still a-waiting, myself, whilst many of those that filed in California were...

Re: Procedure at the Port of Entry

I went t in the early part of 2012 on a K-1 visa and didn't have to go to secondary, either. A bunch of us had to join the tail-end of the US line because it was so busy at the airport, but that...
