If you take out a secured credit card with Capital One they give you a complimentary subscription to Credit Inform Premier which tracks your credit score.

I'd suggest its worth it for anyone...

Any issues in taking a tourist visa when in possession of unactivated immigrant visa?

Essentially we have flights booked to travel to the USA in January where we originally planned to activate my immigrant visa.

Now something has come up that may mean we need to stay in the UK...

CR1 Visa success today in London! Here's our day at the embassy...

We petitioned at the beginning of June and today had our visa approved, should have it within a week. For those interested in the interview process, this was our day:-

Just to say we had the interview today....having had my tax fears allayed decided not to mention anything about the pregnancy....sailed through, visa approved, should have it within a week.

Just to say that having sent off for the Visa Interview on 25th August, the letter arrived in the post this morning....so 6 weeks and 1 day.

The interview itself is scheduled for 26th October...so...

Sorry, I should have made clear that my wife has permanent residancy in the UK. We sorted that after we got married...a lot quicker than the US system! So no worries on that score.

Ok. On entry to the US on the first occasion with my permanent residancy, do I not have to stay for a certain time?

I think the baby will be due in June. I think we will have the Visa by the end...
