If you want to succeed in Quebec just make you're 100% fluent, preferably have a French name and a Quebecois accent or good luck! It's a great place though...apart from that!

It doesn't work like that I'm afraid!

To keep PR status you need to be physically present in Canada (or meet other conditions - ie. being abroad with a Canadian citizen spouse for example) for 2...

Hi,

1. Yes that occupation is eligible as Quebec allow any occupation. However, there is a list of 'preferred occupations' which is on the Quebec immigration website which you need to look at....

To be honest I sent photocopies of all my documents and they accepted them...but then I got called for an interview so perhaps it would have been waived if I had sent official copies?

I landed in Montreal two weeks ago and found the process slightly more bizarre than I had imagined just to give you my view.

Basically you go to immigration as you get off the plane and show them...
