In 2011 we used a tax accountant here in the US, so we declared everything. All our income in 2012 is from the US earnings.

Thanks everyone for your comments so far. It is most helpful. I think we will go down the route of doing it via Turbo Tax this year as our income is not complex in the US.

Sorry, I'm slightly confused why you quoted my post. I'm guessing your B2 visa was issued for a different reason to mine. As I said I've never had trouble at immigration. And I would never over stay...

Yes Orangepants is correct, it is a co-habitat based B2. And yes I do carry lots of papers with me each time (bank statements, OH work contract, legal letters etc) but luckily I've not had to show...
