Re: Entering on a UK passport (dual citizenship)

This is actually one of the issues for me. My friend spends his life in the air, and has so many miles that he can upgrade me for free. I want to try for special authorisation, but if I don't get it,...

Re: Entering on a UK passport (dual citizenship)

Thanks for all the info.

I guess I can get special authorisation if I book a flight then apply within 10 days of my flight, as I have "a valid passport from a visa exempt country" and have "held a...

Entering on a UK passport (dual citizenship)

Does anyone have a definitive answer on whether or not you can enter Canada on a UK passport if you also have Canadian citizenship?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Transferring money pre referendum.

Indeed. My feeling is that the pound will bounce back a bit quite soon.

A friend working in the city said the mood was similar to the Lehman Brothers collapse. I'm also wondering about foreign...

Transferring money pre referendum.

I'm planning to move to Canada in the next year.

I have some savings, and am worried about the pound if we leave the EU. Would it be wise to transfer some money to CAD at this point?

Why Canada?

Just out of interest, what made you choose Canada?

I guess this is a question to those that didn't have a specific reason to move there such as a spouse or job offer.

How on Earth did they find you through different countries?

Moving money to Canada

If one moves their money from the UK to Canada, is it taxed?

Say you sold you house in the UK in order to buy a house in Canada, would Canada tax you when you brought the money in?

Re: Escaping
