Be aware that if she's earning the income in the UK, the income has to continue from the same source once inside the USA. This is where a lot of USC's get stuck, when they are working in the UK but...

I'VE HAD TO REAPPLY BECAUSE I HAD TO RETURN TO THE UK TO BE WITH MY FATHER, WHO HAS SINCE PASSED AWAY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ADVICE.

They sent my packet to me by courier the next day. I was expecting a letter to say that they have approved my visa but there was just the brown packet which I can't open.
