This is for the London branch: my visa was approved in the evening of the 22nd and my documents were sent via DHL the next day. I got the documents this morning. I didn't have to pay for the return...

The only photos required are the ones that should be attached to your Medical + Xray docs, which need to be signed by the radiologist, medical examiner, etc to identify you. Apart from that they...

Good news: my application was accepted! :thumbsup: Here's how it went:

Mon 20 Jun: INZ received my documents (London branch)
* I didn't get anyone contacting me at all

Hmmm.... I think the only way you could speed things up is if you supply all the evidence they want first time round, and if there are no problems. Apart from that, I don't know... bribe them?...

Looks like you do get a case officer, according to the Silver Fern Job Search visa FAQ (can't paste link):

I've had the same problem as many: after successfully paying for the application, you get a receipt with a receipt # etc. Then you're supposed to get an email (but don't) and you can't see any status...
