Re: January 2010 Applicants

Got my 175 visa grant on 22nd June.
Applied in January for 175, then converted to 176 State Sponsored. Pre-grant letter and VAC2 receipt in April were stating subclass 176.
A bit cofused about the...

Re: March 2010 Visa Applicants

6 months?

No, it wouldn't. But not every past decision by DIAC made sense either.

'In accordance with priority processing arrangements' are the key words. They didn't state 'in...

Re: March 2010 Visa Applicants

Unfortunately, it doesn't say anything about priority processing after 1st of July. It only says: "priority processing arrangements for applications for permanent skilled migration will continue...

Re: March 2010 Visa Applicants

Are you sure they said that?
Sorry, this just doesn't seem to make sense because DIAC stated clearly they are going to revoke CSL once the new SOL is introduced... I can't see how they are...

Re: March 2010 Visa Applicants

Re: March 2010 Visa Applicants

1-4 weeks is a long time? You should be kidding me. :)
Many people have their medicals requested and finalised, all docs 'met' months ago, and are still waiting.
I was given a timeframe of 2-3...

Re: December 09 Applicants

Huh?
Pre-grant is not a grant, isn't it? Actually, I have my doubts it's worth anything at all.

So, even if he did get the pre-grant letter he'd have all reasons to bother and be worried...

Re: January 2010 Applicants

The contact phone number ASPC provides is not their reception but the call centre where they have trained operators whose job is to answer questions on skilled visa applications. And as Drifty said,...

Re: March 2010 Visa Applicants

Reply from my CO stated 2-3 months (I got this mail back in April). However, the mail didn't say the case will be finalised in this timeframe. It merely said that the 'routine processing' will be...

Re: Last remaining relative visa req....

Oh well there are different types of PR visas. Like Pollyana said, there's a Remaining Relative visa and then, there's a Spouse visa. For a Spouse visa, you are supposed to provide an evidence you...

Could you please clarify, which DIAC guidelines?
AFAIK in the past, changes in priority processing did affect all applications, regardless of when they were lodged.

If...

Probably, because your PCCs haven't been requested yet? Just a thought.

Sometimes, the documents can be marked as 'Required' even after the grant.
It really depends on the habits of a particular case officer. Some simply don't bother with updating the applicant's...
