Many thanks. But I am also interested in those who have return to the UK just for a visit and their spouse has used the EU Residency Card.

Recently the UK change the law on entry into the UK.
Holders of an EU Residency Card can now enter the UK without the need for an EEA Family Permit. (Result of ruling after SS route etc)

Perhaps many are not aware of the recent changes in the UK system.?
An EEA/EU Residency Card is now acceptable for entry into the UK.

Well...thank you everyone for the replies so far. But the FACT remains that it is easier for an EU citizen and his non-EU wife to settle in the UK than it is for a UK citizen in the same situation....
