Re: 2nd stage spouse visa stat dec content

In our case the day we submitted and the day it was granted were the same, as we had a booked interview in Sydney. I am fairly sure though that they used the words "date of grant" in the...

Squaddie missus one of things we found out during the process was that they won't allocate you a CO until your 2...

Item 2 says...

We have just been through this process and my husband had his PR approved a couple weeks ago.

You most definitely do need evidence. It does ask for it, it is easy to miss but if you read...

Re: Spouse Visa Circle

Ours took three months through the Washington office, we applied Oct 2007 and approved Jan 2008, so it included Christmas/New Years.

The London office used to be renowned for its speed and...

Re: Spouse Visa Circle

It is my feeling, from having gone through this, that processing times depend upon the following 3 main factors:

1. Whether the applicant is from a high risk country or not (security checks take...

Re: Spouse Visa Circle

Ahhhhh.....thanks very much for that! That explains the early July CO allocation, his 2 years are not up until 11th July.

Getting close!

Re: Spouse Visa Circle

I've never heard of it either. Page 24 of the Partner Migration booklet says certified copies of original documents are required.

All the way through our spouse visa process we worked on the...

Re: Spouse Visa Circle

Addit: sorry been thinking some more, and forgot to say that the phone contact told my husband we wouldn't be allocated a CO until early July. Considering their original letter to us initiating the...

Re: Spouse Visa Circle

I don't think anyone gets second stage processing on the day. They all are now handled through either Canberra or Melbourne, by mail. I think the 'on the day' is when appointments are made for the...

Re: Sponsored Spouse visitor visa rejected

Bermudashorts makes a very good point. I don't like to sound too negative but we have just been through the whole spouse visa process up to PR, and it is possible that you may be in a Catch-22...

Re: Travelling to the US: A couple of (probably trivial) questions

They have eviscerated the history curriculum in school in this country. It used to be there was not much Australian history taught in schools, it was pro-colonial British in perspective. So there was...

Re: Travelling to the US: A couple of (probably trivial) questions

I would LOVE to have more time to look at more history and more battlefields....there is just so much. Every day I add to the itinerary, and my husband makes wry comments about "mission creep" :D....

Re: Travelling to the US: A couple of (probably trivial) questions

Thanks everyone for those reassuring replies. I was not sure in what light a USC entering the US with a non-citizen spouse on the VWP would be regarded at the POE.

Funnily enough, just moments...
