Anyone know a nice cheap overnight stop near Como or Varesse?

This is just an overnight stop on my way from France to Italy for me and my daughter we are on a budget so cannot afford swiss hotels...

If you take the route from Calais to Mulhouse then through Gottard tunnel to Como you can use cheap formule 1 motels to stop overnight.

From Nancy to reims its just as easy to take an a road...
