I would definitely recommend considering Howick, Bucklands Beach etc if you work east or south.

Well there was a change of plan due to another job offer coming in and we ended up moving to Auckland but thanks all for your input. Enjoyed Welly for the short time we were there and will be back...

Yep your right it is future work the only prob being the cost of bottled gas here in the south which makes people reluctant to switch to and sometimes because of the unknown if you get my meaning,...

If the gas appliances here were regularly serviced and maintained it would help but seems thats not the norm. With your skills base your should have no problem gaining employment. I have to agree...

What about places like Fairfield, Ngaio, Kelburn, Korokoro, Maungaraki,Alicetown, Woburn and Karori? I found a couple of reasonable properties in these areas???? :)
