Are EU States criminal records shared with the US.

This is debatable subject and having read through many douments and information throughout the web, I am still certain that this information is not shared to US Authorities.

The EU clearly forbids...

Re: Will an arrest effect my L1 Visa

He needs a VISA because he has been arrested for an offense which could or could not be CIMT. Aswell as the fact that he wants to work there. Period

Re: Will an arrest effect my L1 Visa

Yes I have and because we don't know if his arrest would be deemed as a crime of moral turpitude (and neither does he), he needs to apply for a VISA.

Re: Will an arrest effect my L1 Visa

Your posts make no sense at all! There is a difference between making clever comments and thinking you are. You waffle on with no clear definition to your statements.

I imagine this guy is...

Re: Will an arrest effect my L1 Visa

Not convicted/charged/reprimanded/warned? Well you're not guilty, you've never been proven to be guilty and by the sounds of it you have never accepted guilt. I've never heard of anybody being...

Re: Arrest and CIMT - discussion

Sorry I have to bite at this. Misinformed about what exactly? I think the only thing I have disagreed with the users of this forum on is whether the US and UK share records of all convictions. Which...

Re: Arrest and CIMT - discussion

Re: Arrest and CIMT - discussion

I can assure you I received mine for 25 GBP. It is the worst bit of evidence I have to supply. A black and white print out it does not look authentic at all. North West England.

Re: Arrest and CIMT - discussion

Obtaining a court record couldn't be easier. Ring the court inwhich you were tried and ask for a Memorandum of conviction (MOC). They are 25 GBP. Hope this helps

Affray - British Law and CIMT debate.

It has come to my attention that nobody has a clear view on whether the British law offence of Affray is a CIMT or not.

For that reason I think a debate is due.

The definition of the offence...

OP please let us know how you get on. Again I highly highly doubt you will have any problems at the embassy. You were acquitted and never admitted to any kind of guilt you will be fine.

The irony...

Re: Arrested - CIMT?

I mentioned suspected terrorists in a previous post, also anyone who had abducted a US citizen is hardly likely to be an unconvicted applicant. Even if they were not convicted, I would doubt anyone...

I think you're the only one muddying the water here son.

We all know they ask about arrests and we all know they are interested in arrests. But I was clearly giving a valid point on why they are...

Re: Arrested - CIMT?

You're going way of topic with statements of abusing the VWP and such. The fact is any normal UK citizen wanting to visit the US as a tourist does not require a VISA unless they have been arrested....

Re: Arrested - CIMT?

If you had taken time to read through my reply you would have relised that it probably doesn't matter if it was CIMT anyway. In my humble opinion they only ask for arrests because of the way other...

I presume you are talking about suspected terrorists, Non-Brits or immigration VISA's which I suspect have many other issues attached other than solely a criminal record check. On this occassion...

Re: Arrested - CIMT?

I think the sole reason for the arrest question is largely due to the fact that some countrys ,especially the UK, deal with some offences via on the spot fines and cautions/reprimands/warning etc....

Re: Arrested - CIMT?

I'm sure it is relevant, hence why they ask what the arrest actually led to i.e conviction/ no further action/ Aquittal. For that sole reason the outcome of the arrest is very relevant.

Well...
