I told them it was for a professional accreditation. Which is partly true because it was originally for skills assessment by IEA.

I asked my HR department to provide me with a letter addressed "To whom it may concern", stating my job position, employment dates etc. I didn't bother telling them it was for an Oz visa.

Medical and X-ray both done (at same time) at Cromwell Hospital in Earls Court.

Anyone else looked into the pros/cons of payinging UK NI once in Oz?

I'm leaving in April, by which time I'll have 9 full tax years of NI contributions.

Just give the dates (should be stamped in your passports).
I left the number blank and was fine. Another post recently said you should write "ETA".
