I totally agree with those points. If it were up to me and my partner we would have been gone two years ago. We have some properties which we rent out they give us a small income now but who knows...

What about leaving their friends behind? My son is an only child so his friends are so important to him (though they keep changing).

I logged in yesterday and wrote a long drawn out reply which was basically fighting the theory that we will ruin our son's life if we remove him to France. It was so long and defensive...
