My understanding in Nova Scotia is that everyone is allowed access to all water courses even if that access is over private property. That the shore of every water course cannot be owned.

I dont know about MB, but in NS there doesnt seem to be anything to limit you staying in the Province. Once you have PR you are free to move within Canada.

Mine was posted in London on the 10th and arrived here in Nova Scotia on the 22rd December. It came via International Signature Required.

Post normally takes 7 days the rest of the year.

I hadnt heard from NS when I applied after 4 weeks, so emailed also and was told to wait, a week later I got the acknowledgement. I used a courier for everything, so you always know it was delivered...

Thanks for your reply Lucy, thats what I was hoping to hear, nearest border for me is New Brunswick into Maine. And the US border guards didnt question you too much about it?
