Re: Pre-schools, schools and places to live in Boston - thoughts?

Re: Passport Delays

It happens to everyone! Be sure to post anticipated travel dates on your application as they will not fast track your application if you leave it blank. Another poster wrote on here that since they...

Re: Passport Delays

Not to insult your intelligence, but are you dialing all the international numbers? 011 44 208 082 4721
I would try the number for Canadians as well. It couldn't hurt:

Re: Visiting NY, places to stay?

If you are looking at Jersey City, a nice small place is the Holland Motor Lodge. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the PATH station that takes you directly into midtown Manhattan. It was an inexpensive...

Re: Renewal of UK passports

I used a quality photography shop and they cut it to match the size requirements of the UK passport. This was only a couple of dollars more than the regular passport photo.

Re: Declaring dual citizenship at the US/Canada border

I guess I should not have volunteered the information!! I think I will contact NEXUS or the CBP to ensure that I won't have a hassle at the border.

Re: Declaring dual citizenship at the US/Canada border

Actually it is linked to both. Any new citizenship has to be declared. I contacted NEXUS and they told me I had to submit the UK passport details. I went to Pearson Airport NEXUS office in Toronto...

Declaring dual citizenship at the US/Canada border

Quick question. I am a Canadian who holds UK citizenship as well. I have both Canadian and UK passports. I am flying out of Buffalo to travel to Gatwick in March. When I drive to Buffalo, at the...

Re: Passport Delays

Call Careline and ask them to escalate your application. I did this twice. Careline also sent a message for someone to contact me from the Passport Office, and they did. There are ways to track...

Re: Passport Delays

They may have an issue with you changing where the passport is being mailed. UPS actually delivered mine and left it with the landlord of my apartment building. Apparently no signature was required...

Re: Passport Delays

What is worse is that most of the time, Careline will only pass on messages to the Passport Office. It's not like many people actually speak to a consular official. I had brief correspondence only...

Re: going over the boarder

I have passed many times due to my location so close to NY. Sometimes they ask me to turn off my car and check my trunk. Other times they have asked me if I am the registered owner of my car! And...

Re: How about that snow?

Snow can suck, but a great big storm can be exciting. We are still waiting for some white stuff up here in Southern Ontario.

Re: Passport Delays

It is 10 working days from the payment being taken, but for most people here it has taken much longer. I wound not expect you to see anything until 2010.

Re: Passport Delays

On average, my calls cost me 8 or 9 dollars each. The cheapest was 6, and the most expensive was 15. However, if you add the total cost of all the calls......$$$$$$.

Re: Passport Delays

For some people, a couple of weeks is all it took, but for many it has been/was much longer. Remember, it is not when it was delivered, but when the payment was taken, as that is when the data is...
